Gilbert Tractor Club

The Gilbert Tractor Club was started July 12, 2005 when the five original members:  (Jon Davis, Bob Gibson, Al Cox, Kim Redling, and Dick Struve) gathered at the Daisy Chains & Laughs Coffee House for their first meeting.  These members met to share stores of “the old iron”, gather information on restoring their old treasures, plan future activities for the group, and serve as a resource for the students of Gilbert High School Ag department.  Dick actually drove his John Deere Model A to the meeting on Main Street.

Since that first meeting in 2005, the club has expanded to include over 150 members with over 500+ tractors and engines.

  1. My father is restoring a John Deere L with a Hercules NXB engine. The motor has a cracked engine block and head which he would like to find a replacement for. Do you have resources for helping people locate tractor parts?

  2. I have several John Deere 110 lawn tractors with attachments from the 60s that I wish to sell. My number is 515-490-0512

  3. Just purchased another JD D. Got this one near Montour Iowa it is a 1937 .
It will look good alongside my 1947 D.
    I sold my 1941 D, my 41 IH H and my 1948 AR.
I just finished a little genius number 8 plow and purchased a JD 55 3 bottom trip plow that Dan Peterman is restoring along with my 47 D.
Looking forward to showing them this spring.
