Welcome \\ Introductions: \u00a0<\/strong>Don kicked off our meeting.<\/p>\n

Guest and family additions: <\/strong>none<\/p>\n

Treasurer Report:<\/strong> $1,475.00.\u00a0 State Fair board contacted the tractor club for $60.00 for 2 awards.\u00a0 We\u2019ll need to pay for the calendars. \u00a0\u00a0Buy your calendars so we aren\u2019t carrying them all year long. We are breaking even on the calendars and need to get the money back into the club.\u00a0 Get calendars as gifts.\u00a0 The calendars have pictures celebrating the club\u2019s 20 years.\u00a0 Huebert has been the top calendar selling person to date. Steven did a great job of getting the past 20 years\u2019 worth of pictures in the calendar.<\/p>\n

Old Business: <\/strong>Pay your dues, now. If you haven\u2019t paid, please pay now, so we don\u2019t have to keep nagging all year to get your dues.\u00a0 \u00a0You\u2019re a member, step up and pay up.<\/p>\n

New Business:\u00a0 <\/strong>We need presenters for February.\u00a0 Anything for a topic will work.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t need to be tractor related; anything will do.<\/p>\n

We are celebrating the 20th<\/sup> year anniversary of the club this year. Most of the original members are still active in the club.<\/p>\n

Discussion Items: <\/strong>March 30th,<\/sup> there is a toy show in Boone at the fairgrounds, in the varied industry building.\u00a0 Don Johnson plans on being there to sell toys.<\/p>\n

Auction or Threshing events<\/strong>: None<\/p>\n

For Sale or Wish List:<\/strong> \u00a0pulling tractor D8 Hot Rod International with Ford engine.\u00a0 Deny is getting out of the pulling business.<\/p>\n

Presentation:<\/strong> \u00a0Laura Lascio and Anthony Lascio (her husband).\u00a0 Vern, her dad is a tractor club member. Laura has a bachelor degree in Sociology and a Masters in Higher Education.\u00a0 Her husband has an IT and PC Security degree. Tony handles their project management and IT needs.<\/p>\n

Laura\u2019s business is Growing Healthy Connections.\u00a0 They train horses to be in a relationship with clients who are in need of healing and transformation. They serve people with mental illness, individuals looking for personal development, profession groups and conduct group trainings with horses for schools, business and non-profits. They are at www.HealthyConnectionsIowa.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Laura had a horse, Patty, as a kid who she rode all the time and always talked to Patty non-stop when she was riding. Today they have 4 horses.<\/p>\n

Laura originally attended training for healing between horse and people with Natural Lifemanship Partners. After completing this training Growing Healthy Connections was born. Their business provides services for well being for horses, clients and growing healthy connections. The horse has the right to ignore the request, do the request or just totally refuse to do anything.\u00a0 The person has the same rights. They serve kids to adults, families and groups such as law enforcements and non-profits. They do rheumatic riding, which allows the horse to adjust to the person and person to the horse.\u00a0 There is engagement between the horse and the person for doing the request, ignoring or carrying out a request. They service the Ames area.<\/p>\n

The horses are rescue horses. They work without halters to make sure the horse will follow commands and allow connection with the people.\u00a0\u00a0 Halters are used during most riding.\u00a0 Gentle, trusting treatment is used to train their horses.\u00a0 Riding provides enforcement, a safe riding area, attunement and engagement by the horse and client.<\/p>\n
